Third Quarter Update: Panthers 21, Falcons 13

The Falcons cut Carolina's lead to eight on a 24-yard field goal by Jason Elam.

Carolina had a chance to match those points, but John Kasay's 51-yard attempt with 5:55 left in the quarter was blocked by Atlanta defensive lineman Chauncey Davis.

As the quarter ended, the Falcons were at the Carolina 3, aiming to cut deeper into the Panthers' lead.

"Delhomme completed 11 of 14 passes in the first half for 137 yards and two TDs. It was almost certainly his best opening half of the season." --- IT MOST CERTAINLY WAS!!! Maybe his best performonce since those couple of games right before he got injured. Then again, the second half has not been played yet. They are ahead and he will be vanilla at best. He has no killer instinct. He just likes being an underdog so he can catch people sleeping. Not very inspiring.

Like I was saying
