Williams doesn't practice again; questionable for Falcons

Running back DeAngelo Williams (knee) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with Atlanta. Williams practiced on a limited basis Thursday and didn't practice at all Wednesday. He doesn't appear to be walking with a limp, however.

Defensive end Julius Peppers (hand) and kicker John Kasay (groin) both practiced and are probable.

Safety Charles Godfrey and fullback Brad Hoover didn't practice Friday and are listed as doubtful for the Falcons game.

Others questionable, but who did practice fully Friday: Fullback Tony Fiammetta (concussion), receiver Muhsin Muhammad (knee), tight end Dante Rosario (knee) and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles). -- David Scott

Sutton and Goodson will play a little bit more vs Falcons.
But I'm trust in DeAngelo and I'm keep with him in my fantasy team LOL!!

update for all the fairweatherers who were calling for jay cutler in the offseason......you can stop talking about how dumb hurney was for giving delhomme the extension. way better move than the bears.

Hurney is still dumb for giving Jake that extension

Delhomme would have made 11 mil this year had they not extended his contract. Instead he is making 9 mil this year, freeing 2 mil up they they needed to keep/hire players. So they extended him from 11 mil to 20 mil, i am not sure on how long he stays to get the 20 mil but thats all thats gauranteed. Thats only adding 9 mil to his contract, & hopefully he can stay around & help the next qb. How hard is that to understand for you people?

Mr Bernz, good post. D'Will will be okay to play and I am hopeful he will have a big day. He is truly one of the best in the league without all of the attention. I think we will fight pretty hard this week. We jumped out on Arizona and New Orleans. NO came back from lack of play calling and AZ couldn't muster up the energy. Maybe we can do the same to Atlanta and keep them down.

This is a realtively unreported aspect of the problems with our passing game. Running so much, even on 3 and 12s, is putting a pounding on our best offensive weapon. DWilliams in not a huge guy. We can't ride him so hard; he'll either get hurt and be out or wear down and not be nearly as dynamic as he is. We need to get some of his touches moved to Steve Smith via reverses, wild cats or a pass that doesn't result in the ball sailing ten feet over his head.

Foxy normally doesn't play guys that don't practice on Friday...not looking good for our running attack.

Oh... and Mike I agree about getting Smitty touches, BUT you obviously know nothing about D-Lo. A RB doesn't break the NCAA record for all purpose yards by not being relied on or "ridden" as you put it. Not sure what you consider a big guy, but I've seen him in person and guy is a freak bulldog. Do some homework!!

Hey how does DWill stand in the league against the other RBs. Hes the man! He has to be close if not on top. Give the ball to Stewy. He is the other man! Get his numbers up this year. They have been leaning heavy on DWill but he did best with close to equal carries with Stew. The guy has got to rest sometime. What is funny we are all concerned with DWill burning out with all the yards and running he is doing. Wouldn't other teams fans like to have that problem.

Hey!!
We have a lot of potential to do more wild cat plays!! (DeAngelo, Stewart, Sutton, GOODSON and SMITTY) with these guys we can do some big plays via wild cat system!!

Hey Nick..
Exactly! Has anyone thought about this..
Typically any player who does not practice, the last day of practice, does not play! Usually!! ALMOST ALWAYS!(don't get technical DORKS!!!!!)

John Fox is so desperate to hide JAKE. He goes against Protocol, for everyweek. To Start Deangelo just for strategy against the Falcons.
THAT IS DESPERATE... LET's SEE!

K! You research guys... relax were not talking about some irrelevant fact! Last season ago or 5 yrs ago ETC.............

Sutton was a nice surprise, but of course these hacks won't talk about what a brilliant pick up that was by this coaching staff. In lieu of the strangle hols Poopers put them in during the offseason, they did a pretty good job getting some players added to the roster in time of need.

Unfortunately, those qustionable contract extensions still took place. Again, KEEP IN MIND IT IS NOT FOX'S JOB TO NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS!!!

And Fox has to go, you are actually make the case to keep Fox, moron.
