Panthers made LB change, sign Culberson
The Panthers signed free agent linebacker Quinton Culberson today and waived linebacker Kelvin Smith with a knee injury.
Culberson spent the 2007 and '08 season with the St. Louis Rams, then spent a game with them this year before getting waived Sept. 17. He then signed with the UFL's Florida Tuskers, where he played for his former Rams coach, Jim Haslett.
Culbert started 10 games in '08 and had 50 tackles.
