Delhomme on top 75 all-time undrafted list
For those of you who simply can't get enough Jake Delhomme news, the former Panthers and new Browns' quarterback has been named part of an elite club that's truly noteworthy -- one of the top 75 undrafted players in NFL history.
Former Dallas Cowboys super-scout GIl Brandt put the list together for NFL.com. The No. 1-ranked player is recently retired quarterback Kurt Warner, a three-time Super Bowl participant and two-time league MVP.
Brandt ranked the top 25 players in order, then listed Nos. 26-50 and 51-75 alphabetically. Delhomme was in the latter group and is certainly deserving. He's played in a Super Bowl and a Pro Bowl, and made three playoff appearances.
Also on the list at No. 23 is Donnie Shell, the former Pittsburgh Steelers safety who later served as the Panthers' director of player development before retiring last year.

LMAO what a freakin horrible article, how can you have a top 75 and then list them in alphabetical order!!!
what a piece of crap that was

Is this not like being the tallest midget?

Congrats to Delhomme!! He deserves some recognition as opposed to just being blasted by morons on these message boards!!

Agreed Matt West, regardless of his recent performance with the Panthers he still accomplished a lot here. A very deserving recognition for a stand up guy.
As far as covering players who left the organization, as long as there isn't Panthers news to be covered then why not? I'm interested in our guys after they are no longer our guys, and the vast majority of Panthers fans out there definitely love Jake Delhomme. I would even like to see Jake become successful at Cleveland, as long as Moore does better and Cleveland doesn't beat Carolina lol.

WTF...this has nothing to do w/ the Panthers...I don't give a damn what former Panthers have going for them...whats next a Keyshwan Johnson article? Either start writing about actual Panthers or have a free day at work...no one cares. For all the people that will say don't click on the link if you don't want read..well I didn't read I clicked just to comment...so EAD!

Give it a break guys. It is over. It is no longer relevant. Move on. Just let it go. Get a life. Christ, you're embarrassing yourselves for crying out loud. No more. That's it. Forget it. Write about the Panthers, not the Browns.
Posted by: charlesbright | Mar 16, 2010 8:19:29 PM
On second thought, maybe we should write all their names down and turn them in to somebody.

You must mean yourself and the other two Inside the PANTHERS "columnist" that have a bro-mance goin' with Jake? BTW Won't Julius get jealous?
Could you not have emailed this info to Darin and David and saved this space for actual PANTHERS News?
Off to other sports sites to find actual PANTHERS News. What was I thinking coming back here.

That's awesome news. Jake has been the best quarterback the Panthers have ever had. Miss him already. Thanks for the article.

"Inside the Pants-of-Delhomme" is where the writers may want to be. The only thing I read from this article was the comment section. John I completely agree, I only click so I can comment as well. If I wanna read about the Browns QB then I will start searching for the Browns news articles on whatever sites they may have. Can you guys at least write about your opinions on the quality of players currently on the roster? Or can you write about players you feel we should bring in? It's so dumb to continue to read about other teams.

Inside the Panthers, where is Richard Marshall? Does he too, not want to be here? Is there a possibility he will hold out? Have any other teams even spoken to him or his agent. These are the kind of articles I think most would prefer. Can't get the skinny, well, why don't you guys just tell us what you think? I think most would prefer your opinion on current Panthers than articles on ex-panthers.

Peppers will end up in Top 5...

Peppers will end up in top 5...No.1 should have been Reggie...

I think he has about 75 interceptions over the last two years.
Posted by: kevin | Mar 16, 2010 9:36:15 PM
so what the articles says, is that we should have signed up Kurt Warner after he left the Rams, because he was better than Jake and he took the Cardinals to the superbowl. Will Kurt come out of retirement?

People hate Jake because of 2009, but he was solid every year before then. Everyone seems to forget that...

I will always be glad to hear how Jake is doing. It was a mistake to let him go due to one bad season. We need his passion and leadership, even if only on the sidelines. Hope he does well with the Browns ~ I will hate seeing him in any uniform but the Panthers.

I actually think he is being sarcastic and making fun of you guys, but I guess some of you are just too dumb to notice.

Also Jake made that list because of all his accomplishments as PANTHER not a Brown, morons.

Stop writing about Jake, yes he did ok in 2003 and a couple of other times, thats it. He was washed up for the last 3 years if not more. We could have gone places if he would have just retired in 07 and fox would have turned the reins over to Moore then, but not fox, what a dumba$$

What a joke most Panther fans are. You think 49ers fans say this about Joe Montana? He's a Chief. What about the Cowboys and Emitt Smith? A Cardinal??? Yes I realize Jake wasn't on their level, but whether you like it or not, he's the best QB the Panthers have ever had. That makes news like this relevant to the Panthers.
I wish we build a storied franchise like the Steelers or Cowboys. But as long as our fans act like this, we will never be.
Posted by: David | Mar 17, 2010 10:45:14 AM
considering he's the longest tenured panther's QB and the most successful, and yet to play a browns game yet.........i'd say this is panthers news.

I was being sarcastic and making fun of him in return, but "I guess" you are "just too dumb" to notice as well. Keep on sippin' the Kool Aid and criticizing those of us who choose not to. Peace.

The idea that Romo is 16th on this list is ridiculous. Try getting out of the divisional round, bud.
