Landon Johnson signs with Lions

Former Panthers linebacker/special teamer Landon Johnson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions according to his agent Andy Simms.

Simms released the news on his Twitter account.

Johnson spent two seasons with the Panthers, mostly as a backup, after being a full-time starter with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Panthers cut Johnson earlier this month in a broad release of veterans.

Why are we still hearing about players that don't play for the Panthers anymore? I don't care who Johnson signs to, what about how the players that are here and want to play are doing.

The Panthers aren't signing anyone, and the Observer is employing 2 writers to cover them, plus Darrin Gant. They've got to write about something or they'll get fired.
