Joe D's journey to air on CBS

CBS Sports is expected to air a feature on Charlotte resident and Pro Football Hall of Famer Joe DeLamielleure before Saturday's Final Four games.

It will document the story of when DeLamielleure and two of his former Michigan State roommates biked from midfield of the Spartans' stadium to Mexico last spring as a fund-raiser for a Mexican orphanage. It took them 18 days to travel the approximately 2,000 miles.

DeLamielleure is a former guard for the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns who's also known for being one of the leading advocates for rights of NFL retired players.

Should be an inspiring feature, airing between 4 and 5 p.m. That's WBTV, Channel 3 in Charlotte.
