Good morning guys. Thanks for the forum. Will the Cats target a specific player? If so, who?

If the right player were available, could you see Carolina grabbing a defensive tackle with their first pick, instead of a wide receiver?

Since the draft is so well stocked with DT and WR (areas of need), do you see us trading back to acquire more picks?

What do you think about the possiblity of the Panthers picking up Brandon LaFell. His highlight package is about as good as I've seen. Gilyard scares me, he seems too slight in the lower body. Thoughts?

Hey guys, nice to see some interactivity on here! Do you believe the Panthers' interest in Armanti Edwards is legitimate; would they take him with their 5th round pick? If so, do they have any interest in him as a 'certain packages' quarterback?

Posted by: Bryan | Apr 19, 2010 12:13:06 PM

Who are the top WRs on the Panther's board? Do you think there is a possibility of us moving up for one of the big 5? Those being...Bryant, Tate, Benn, Thomas, Williams.

Do you see any indication that the Panthers will continue to address defensive/special teams depth early in the draft? In doing so, could they surprise everyone and save their later round picks to use towards their need at receiver and quarterback?

Posted by: Bryan | Apr 19, 2010 12:23:23 PM

Wake Forest fan here, so my question will be expected. There has been little to no information regarding Riley Skinner's draft stock this year. I expect that he will fall to the later rounds. Given that his uncanny accuracy was coupled with some serious zip showing in his later collegiate career, what are the chances the Panthers will take a flyer on him? From my eyes, he seems to have all the tools to be another Drew Brees.

Please give me a good reason why the Panthers don't take Jason Campbell off the Redskins' hands for a low draft pick.

I see a lot of questions, but it must have been a long lunch for Charles and Darin. :)
I know Smitty wants another starting WR, but WRs are proving to be risky picks. Also, with ther leagues youngest QB tandem on their roster, if you have no one (you're comfortable with) at QB, does using the 1st pick on a WR make sense? What position will the Panthers target with the 1st (2nd Rnd) pick?

Is there any way that Coach Fox, believing there may be a lock-out and he might be gone after this year anyway, would make a deal to use NEXT YEAR'S #1 Draft Pick to move up to pick someone?

Posted by: Easy | Apr 19, 2010 1:24:53 PM

Was my last post just deleted? May I ask WHY?

Posted by: Easy | Apr 19, 2010 1:25:39 PM

With the lack of any commitments by ownership with regard to taking on expenses and contracts for players and coaches is it possible team is setting up to be sold? The same thing applied when looking back at the Bobcats' situation and it looks unfortunately similiar.

Looks like we are trying to get osi umenyura from the giants. Would this be a good pick up. He is not owed a lot of money so he would come pretty cheap?
