Panthers hold 3 RBs out of practice

It's a good thing the Panthers added two backs Tuesday, because their regulars were nowhere to be seen on the practice field.

RBs DeAngelo Williams (foot), Jonathan Stewart (head) and Tyrell Sutton (ankle) were all held out of practice.

That leaves Mike Goodson as the de facto starter, ahead of newcomers Josh Vaughan and Andre Brown.

DE Greg Hardy (head) was also out.

The Panthers were down to two actual QBs in practice, as they haven't made a practice squad move there.

They still might, but at the moment, they need all three of their practice squad offensive linemen to get through a day's work, since they have just seven linemen on the 53-man roster.

@ d

At least you aren't paying good money going to their games just to see a elementary school offense each week. So I say no don't watch their games.

Will this game even be televised? I smell a blackout coming, if not this game then soon, except the Ravens, people would pay to see them in person

The Saints probably have paper bags left over from when they were bad and nobody wanted their faces shown on the jumbotron at the game. Oh wait, they got waterlogged by a hurricane.

game blacked out. now that would be funny considering the game is in tampa and you can't have an away game blacked out, but since the panthers are so bad, all the local markets chose to air another nfc game. i wonder if you held a poll (like markets sometimes do when the local team isn't playing) to see which game the fans prefered, if the panthers would win. i bet it would be closer than the organization would ever want to admit.

Do like I did. Boycott the games and start spending money at the Satdium when the owner wakes up and starts spending money for players. Until then I support Direct TV and watch all the other games on the NFL Ticket !

@Rick: Considering it's in Tampa, it'll probably be blacked out...in Tampa. It's telling that they can't even sell out for a chance to batter the team their consider their chief rival.

I doubt the Panthers have a home game blacked out this year, if any game would be at risk it'd be Arizona on December 19th. Baltimore is a good team, and Atlanta -- despite the difference in quality this season -- is an important game to the fans.

As a diehard Panther fan, living in Tampa...this is the first time in four years I haven't been thoroughly looking forward to going to the game with the expectations of a win. Guess we'll just have to hope for the best...

that's horrible....i'm a total carolina fan to college football, nfl football, and college basketball. so that's tragic

YES watch the game but not the commercials! But if you're not really a fan Please don't come to the game, stay home and complain to your wives or drinking buddies. Only real Panther fans are needed at the game to cheer our team forward. Isn't the nucleus of the team in place and will be there next year? We want them to remember that they have to earn the right to be a Panther! We do pay good money to see them and want the best. We are not dallas fans! We need to build our backbone, teams and fans come into our stadium and take over, on the field and in the seats! Lets let the team know we care and they will rise up and defeat WHOEVER is there!!! I agree with you A Hicks! Let's give Armanti the last quarter of the game. Start with Clausen and if he struggles put in Pike and leave the 4th quarter for Edwards. JMHO
