Just a few observations for consideration:

1) Consider using Williams in the MLB spot as opposed to Connor, who's way to slow & should be used for trade bait.
2) P.U. a couple of CB's, Gamble seems to be all but done.
3) Definitely need another WR since LaFell connot separate. Nanee is questionable.
4) Must get another OG as the two we have
been using for the past two years are back ups at best & maybe not even that.
5) If Newton doesn't progress this week, consider starting Anderson for a few games.
6) Must get another DT that can play NT & stop the run.
7) It will be a major surprise if we don't bring in a minimum of 6 players at cut time or thru trade options.

8) let hurney do his job and spend your time doing YOUR job.
9) let the young guys develop on the field.

I am pretty much in agreement with Mo's assessment. As for the projected 53 man roster, I can only take comfort in LB's, RB's and Specialists. We've got a lot of holes everywhere else. I hope Charley Martin sticks for Special Teams and we can cut Everette Brown as I am sure there will be better DE's on the waiver wire.

have a hard time believing that hurney didn't put claims in for jovan haye dt and aston youbouty cb. stop carrying lower round picks that can't play and bring in players who can contribute.

I'd give brown one more season. He might not be a starter or everydown guy, but for the right price, he would be a great pash rush specialist to have around.

I don't think they need to go looking for any old guys at all. that defeats the purpose of rebuilding. if there are young guys with upside getting cut, sure give em a look but we need to find a young DT and Corner that will step up and be the next guy. and if not we will have a high draft pick to spend on one next year.
