Panthers prepping to face a QB named Josh on Sunday

The Panthers know they're going to face a Tampa Bay quarterback named Josh on Sunday. They're just not sure which one.

Bucs starting quarterback Josh Freeman remains questionable due to a sore shoulder that has significantly limited his practice time this week. Most of the first-team reps in practice have been taken by Josh Johnson, who has not started an NFL game since 2009.

"It's forced us as coaches to do a little bit more work than we normally would but that's all part of the game," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "If we get Josh Freeman, I think we're ready. If we get Josh Johnson, we're ready as well. It's really about what they do. They're a pro-style running game. They've got a running back (LeGerrette Blount) who deserves to carry the ball 25-30 times. We just have to make sure we're good tacklers."

So all we need to do is tackle well? That has not been a problem all year so look for this game to be a W.......wait......sorry I thought this was an article about any of the other 31 teams.

I can't believe you are getting paid do put out this crap....

Why don't you give us an actual break down of Josh Freeman and the Bucs vs the Panthers??

Wow! OMG! They have two QBs named Josh? Thats Amazing!!!

OH WAIT!!! Most of us already know that!! Neither are rookies! Both have recieved extensive playing time the past 3 seasons. You SUCK Ron!!!!

josh johnson should be starting somewhere over a kevin kolb or matt cassell or blaine gabbert or whoever washington is starting this week or next. probably a few more teams out there too.

probably over freeman the way freeman has played this year.

jake will be the starter when we play Houston!

Freeman and Newton. The only contest here is to see who throws the most picks.

Posted by: tony | Dec 2, 2011 9:13:50 PM

Obviously the leading pick scam artist is Newton even with double 6'7" TEs throwing short dumps. Rivera held back against the 0-11 Colts on passing to avoid him pass the alltime rookie NFL pick record of 28 that he was closing in on fact being forced to run more to protect his pretender.

Bucs by 20

Grow up. Quit hating. We have a franchise QB finally, and you are stick in the past. Are you a fan of this team? Or are you a racist hick that sets the south back a few decades?

Freeman had a rough start but has been a decent QB. He can be appreciated because even though he left Kansas State after 3 years as a true junior in good academic standing he never got caught cheating 3 times and kicked out or arrested for stealing laptops charged with multiple felonies. He never was involved in a 200,000 pay for play scam either and lied his way out of it.

Other than skipping his senior year Freeman would be a good role model for young players as opposed to that one who stole lied cheated and played the system and never admit responsibility according to the many media reports. Thank G-d we had a honest ethical QB.

Florida may be the south but it is a trillion times more intelligent and moral and why your no good Cam Newton thief liar cheat was kicked off our Gators and out of the school and state. He was a disgrace and unworthy. Our beloved Tim Tebow was a supremely better human being of utmost quality and talent. Coach Meyer was forced to quit over that douchebag.

We hope the state police are in Tampa to arrest him and throw him in jail. Keep him OUT of our Sunshine State. We dont care if you hicks like criminals.

Guilt by association. Pigs all wallow in the same mud.

Hey Tampa Bay Suck and Shi!water Beach Gator, you are real insightful and seem to be beyond reproach. We ALL make mistakes and are not perfect. You two douchebags (probably the same loser) are quick to judge and throw stones. Need I remind you of your own "backyard troubles"..... oh wait, and these were all committed while they were in the Tampa Bay Suckin Queers organization, not BEFORE becoming "professionals." Thank G-d you have honest and ethical people representing your fine upstanding organization and looks like the pigs really like wallowing in Florida......

tampa girl,

You know a lot about that don't you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Sure | Dec 4, 2011 9:57:31 AM

What about the 30 other arrests under Urban Meyer (led the ncaa) like your DE Carlos Dunlap who fell asleep at the while while drunk driving while being underage. Or your star do it all athlete Chris Rainey who was arrested for aggrevated stalking. Good ole Urb kicked him off the team indefinetly until they started losing then brought him back. The TRUTH about Cam and the Gators was he wasnt kicked off the team for purchasing stolen property, not actually stealing a computer, but he transfered once he realized he wasnt going to get PT. As much as The U and FSU were the criminals of NCAA football in the 90's Gainsville is now the University of Felonys.

A lot of the negative Cam haters keep bringing up the same stuff over and over again, like we forgot about the laptop and offer to play at Miss State.

There is nothing new to add is there?

It's like a bunch of women throwing up mistakes from years ago in your face when ever they want to attack and pick a fight.

You Cam Haters are women in men's clothing!
