Ryan Van Bergen tweeted, which appeared to indicate, that he was let go.

It's cut day - let's hear from all of you Michigan fans aka wannabe Panthers fans!!

Would love to see Jared Green make the final 53.

Jared Green needs PS for a year.

Please stop it with Jared Green. If his father was not famous, we would know nothing about him.

So you want him on the team based on his name?

I heard Nick Montana was ready to suit up.

I heard Sam Mills didnt make the cut

Oh my - if Seyi Ajirotutu got cut... does that mean Armanti sticks around? I hope so, just because it irritates so many people, lol. Stanford is a touch surprising, I thought he has played pretty well lin preseason, though so did most the other backup CBs.

I have my fingers crossed that Private Munnerlyn has to turn in his playbook today.

If the Panthers want someone to replace Jimmy Clausen at QB, then pick up Brian Hoyer, who was just released from the Patriots.

I bet Edwards gets cut as well....Probably Green makes the practice squad. Gettis will make the team in 6 weeks, and we are deep enough with Smitty, LaFell, Pilares, Murphy, Adams that we don't need to carry 6 receivers until Gettis comes back.

We probably use the extra space for a Linebacker or defensive back.

Munnerlyn will make it because he is perfect for the nickel role or is a competent enough to step into the starting role if Norman or Gamble get hurt. Norman is going to be a stud and will start.

Still not happy with our Safety situation.

Looks like the Panthers weren't happy with the Safety situation either. Glad to see us brining in some competition, though don't know anything about Colin Jones.

FYI David Nixon and Matt Reynolds have also been cut. I shouldn't have to tell you guys this....

Does Nakamura get cut now?

Posted by: Ryan | Aug 31, 2012 3:25:31 PM

So glad that WR Seyi Ajirotutu was cut. Almost as frustrating of a player to watch as Naanee from last year.

OT Matt Reynolds just had to turn in his playbook

Posted by: Cats of Charlotte | Aug 31, 2012 3:27:40 PM

Who is Colin Jones? Weird move - I thought they were so high on Pugh a year ago, they're high on Godfrey and Nakamura now, and Martin has to be the 3rd guy, based on play and experience.

Doomsday.............

Posted by: Big Daddy | Aug 31, 2012 3:30:57 PM

Just saw that the Hamilton Tigercats (CFL) have agreed to trade a 1st round pick and cash for Armanti Edwards.

Posted by: Ricky Proehl | Aug 31, 2012 3:35:38 PM

I hope the Panthers hold on to Armond Smith. There is something about this guy that is special. He has alot of speed and was consistant in carrying the ball this week and last week. He's had several carries that went for 10+ yards. He may have done it against 3rd string guys, but that's impressive on any level of football.

Jones is a ST ace

Posted by: Johny | Aug 31, 2012 3:36:10 PM

If Armanti makes this team it confirms Hurney has lost it. Worst GM in the league.

Posted by: Fast Freddie | Aug 31, 2012 3:36:44 PM

Steve Smith has been put on PUP.

Fast Freddie, is the smartest poster on this board. I have been saying this about Hurney for 8 years. He is a newspaper reporter for crying out loud.
