Thomas Davis returns in limited action

SPARTANBURG

The Panthers practiced in full pads for nearly three hours Monday, with the defense getting the upper hand.

Maybe the best news for the defense was the return of outside linebacker Thomas Davis, who was in full pads for the first time since injuring his calf the first week of camp. Davis, trying to come back from three ACL surgeries on his right knee, participated in individual drills but stayed out of the team work.

"A little bit of work for Thomas. It’s good to see him. We’re going to gradually work him into it," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "We still have 3 ½, 4 weeks of the preseason left but it was good to see Thomas back on the football field."

Middle linebacker Jon Beason remains out, but Beason did his first running since pulling his hamstring last week. Like Davis, Beason is coming off season-ending surgery last year after rupturing his Achilles in Week 1.

In other news:

--Cornerback Nate Ness and tight end Nelson Rosario are out with post-concussion symptoms, Rivera said. Ness spent Saturday night in a Charlotte hospital after taking a hit to the head in the exhibition loss to Houston.

--Defensive tackle Andre Neblett was not feeling well and was excused from practice, Rivera said.

--Cornerback Brandon Hogan (knee, quad) remains out, although rookie cornerback Josh Norman (hamstring) practiced and had a nice pass breakup against Armanti Edwards on a throw from Cam Newton.

Seems like Josh Norman's name keeps coming up, always in a good way. Wonder if they will find a spot for him? Very disappointed that Brandon Hogan looks like an IR fixture. Somebody needs to jump up and grab that other corner spot!

You guys with the ticky tack injuries on the bubble who want a job need to get back to work. Otherwise contact your local Harris Teeter, the world needs grocery baggers too.

Can't wait to watch TD back at it...making tackles 10 yards downfield because the deficiencies in the d-lne were never addressed. Stick....meet dead horse!

Go Panthers!!! As fans, we need to show more support and faith at games. That means buy tickets, and don't allow opposing fans to dominate our stadium. When our defense is on the field be LOUD, not just on third downs (be loud every damn down), and for the love of god shut up when our offense is on the field. Don't leave the game early if our team is down, because they might make a comeback and could use our help by making noise. You paid for the ticket, might as well enjoy the entire game. As fans, lets do our part to support the team 100%. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!

I'm trying to figure how to move words from one place to another on my computer. Like literally a copy of it. And then I'd want to duplicate those words somewhere else. Almost like I'm pasting it or something. Does anyone know how to do this? And I'd need to be able to do it multiple times. It's about a paragraph of text. I just don't feel like typing it all in again. Oh and it needs to work for uppercase letters too, not just upper case. And not just letters. Definitely other symbols like exclamation points. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Beason is doing some light jogging huh? Glad Hurney paid him $20 mil to light jog. Really getting the most out of that contract.
