Charlotte product and Giants WR Nicks out vs. Panthers
Still recovering from foot surgery in late May, New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks will miss Thursday night's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Nicks, the former Independence High School and University of North Carolina standout, has sat out of practice all week and did not participate in walk-throughs today. He's been rehabbing his surgically repaired right foot after fracturing his fifth metatarsal during OTAs.
He caught 10 passes for 199 yards Sunday against Tampa Bay. The Giants had been easing him back into the rotation since the final preseason game of the season.
The Giants will also be missing the services of WR Domenik Hixon, leaving Ramses Barden and Rueben Randle to play across from WR Victor Cruz.
OL David Diehl and RB Ahmad Bradshaw are also listed as out for the Giants on Thursday night.

I think your spread is stale. I've seen us as a pick or at -1.

This is good and bad. Good for the Panthers, whose improved secondary should easily lock down every WR not named Cruz. Bad for my fantasy team. Without Hicks, my best receivers are Darren Sproles and Santana Moss. I'll gladly sacrifice a fantasy victory for a Panthers one though.

I'm missing Nicks in fantasy too but playing Stewart and trusting in the Panthers Defense. Crossing fingers, looks to be a good game.
