Panthers update injury report vs. Saints

There were a couple of changes to the Panthers' injury report on Saturday morning.

Defensive end Greg Hardy and defensive tackle Frank Kearse were both added to the questionable list with an illness.

Hardy was listed as probable on Friday, but was downgraded to questionable due to a stomach bug he has been battling all week. Earlier in the week, head coach Ron Rivera said Hardy was "changing colors" and the end was sent home from practice on Thursday.

Kearse was previously not on the injury report this week. It's unclear if the illness is the same as Hardy's, but Rivera did say Friday that a bug had been going around. DE Charles Johnson had it earlier in the week but fought through it, Rivera said.

The rest of the injury report remains the same. Running back Jonathan Stewart and wide receiver Steve Smith are questionable and guard Mike Pollack is doubtful.

Are you paying their salary? If not then why are you so mad about it. The fact is that teams have a hard enough time staying healthy through 16 games. I can only imagine the kind of garbage we would be seeing if the NFL played 82 games in a season. A big reason why football is so popular is that every game is huge because there are only 16 games.

@nfl extortionist terrorist, you're completely brainless. "Only work 4 months," yeah, I guess NFL players just lounge around and eat potato chips the rest of the year, right? I'm not trying to make NFL players out to be gods, but don't act like it's as easy as that. And why exactly would you want an NFL player to practice when they're sick (contagious) or have a minor problem that could become worse (toe infection). There's a difference between playing through during a game and a practice. The only sport that you listed that rivals the NFL's physicality is NHL. You're honestly going to tell me that baseball players are more deserving than NFL players to ride a bench half the game?

And don't even be an idiot and make this about the troops. As a former infantryman, I have nothing but respect for our troops, but lets face it, this isn't Vietnam/WW2 anymore. Most military men/women are glory hogs who want you to pat them on the back for joining (it's not like they're being forced into it with a draft). I have college classes with many military men who are in non-combat branches of the military and spent more time partying than "defending" the country who also get free college, but all they want to do is talk about how brave/great they are when they never even left a military base even if they were deployed. I had people at my bases who would walk outside one time a month and fire a pistol shot just so they could get bs badges to pad their resume. I love my fellow soldiers, but let's be honest, some aren't really soldiers.

82 games? Are you kidding? Have you never seen the horrible condition many older players are in just from playing 14-16 games per year? Runningbacks wouldn't last near as long with that many carries and would probably not be able to walk if they made it 10 seasons.

Wow, you are an angry person. There are prescription medications that might help alleviate some of your symptoms.

I also suspect that you way too much time on your hands. You need to get a productive hobby, or maybe a job.

If Hardy can't play. will Rivera activate Thomas Keiser (the best pass rusher/sacker on the team)....or will he still keep Keiser inactive because he doesn't play on special teams?

Big Ron, I totally agree. Keiser appears to be the Rodney Dangerfield of the Panthers team...can't get no respect. All he ever did during preseason was to be more consistent at sacking the qb than any other player.
