Key play: On second down inside the red zone, Tony Romo looked for Dez Bryant in the end zone against Josh Thomas. Bryant missed the sure touchdown and the Cowboys would have to settle for a field goal. 

Time of game: 3:25 in the fourth quarter.

Worth mentioning: The Panthers under head coach Ron Rivera have had the lead or been tied in the fourth quarter 15 times, including today. Carolina is 7-7 in those games.

Scoring play: A 2-yard rush by Mike Tolbert.

Drive: 9 plays, 75 yards, 2:20

Key play: After two key drops earlier in the game, wide receiver Louis Murphy made a nice grab in the open field and took it 26 yards to get Carolina in the red zone.

Time of game: 11:38 in the fourth quarter.

Worth mentioning: Running back DeAngelo Williams has just two carries for four yards so far. Jonathan Stewart has gotten most of the touches (eight) in the backfield while Newton leads all rushers with 64 yards on the ground.

Key play: Defensive end Greg Hardy finally got some pressure on Romo, who has not been knocked down all game. Romo hurried out of the pocket on third down and his pass to tight end Jason Witten fell to the ground.

Time of game: 2:13 in the third quarter.

Worth mentioning: Cowboys top wideout Dez Bryant has not been on the field since returning a punt earlier in the quarter. There are multiple reports that he is being checked on the sideline for a concussion.

Score: Dallas 10, Carolina 7

Scoring play: A 26-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Miles Austin.

Drive: 4 plays, 63 yards, 1:48

Key play: On third down, Romo fonud Miles Austin across the middle of a 36-yard gain. The Panthers blitzed Romo with a deep safety blitz from Charles Godfrey. Romo picked up the blitz and found the soft part of the field for the second time this game. In the first half he found Austin on a similar blitz but Austin fumbled after a 15-yard pickup.

Time of game: 7:44 in the third quarter.

Worth mentioning: Dallas and Romo will be without their starting center. Phil Costa injured his right ankle on a Luke Kuechly fumble return in the first half and was ruled out for the game coming out of halftime.

Panthers season is over. Fire the coaches they can't coach and the panthers should mail in the season. Lets get the first pick in the draft.......

Never seen a defense that sucks so bad. My high school kids could defend receivers better......seasons over hopefully they have some good cornerback with the first pick in the daft....
