Video: New PLAY 60 commercial featuring Cam Newton

If you were watching football on Thanksgiving Day, you couldn't have missed the new NFL PLAY 60 commercial featuring Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

But the star quarterback was upstaged by the young boy who promises to make Newton his backup one day.

Defensive end Charles Johnson found the commercial to be hilarious.

The last time Newton was featured with PLAY 60 was when Panthers owner/founder Jerry Richardson was driving a bus full of kids and Panthers.

Newton reminds the young boy to eat healthy and exercise, two pillars of both PLAY 60 and Newton's "Take the Ball" campaign with Carolinas HealthCare System.

I've seen the commercial several times and I love it. What is the name of the kid? Is he local? GO CAM! We have got to beat Philly. Philly is playing their backup QB. Please Panthers show up for this game. You'll be in the national spotlight again. Hopefully, there will be no repeat of that Thursday night debacle against the Giants. GO PANTHERS!

The odd thing about this commercial is that it appears that Cam didn't actually meet this kid. There is no playground across from the stadium.
