Cam Newton and Steve Smith co-star in latest Foot Locker commercial

Last week, Cam Newton and Steve Smith hooked up for Smith's second touchdown of the season.

This weekend, the duo will be on the newest Foot Locker commercial.

Newton and Smith are featured in the commercial, set to air this weekend, showing off their Under Armour apparel and Newton's latest UA shoe.

The commercial is called "Cam Cam" and can be viewed below.

But the two are football players, not trained actors. You can watch the outakes from the 30-second commercial below.

And cue all the Panthers fans complaining that he is in commercials and not winning games. From his perspective, you gotta strike while the iron is hot. And, quite frankly, I am surprised its still hot.

All the more reasons not to buy from Footlocker.

take this moment to note that steve smith is now 26th all time receiving yards and could finish the year as high as 23rd or rather probably will unless rivera takes reps away so he can "evaluate talent" like he knows how to do that. the players need to be taking reps away from rivera to evaluate talent on the sidelines.

4,000 more yards and smith is top 5 all time. completely reasonable for him to get there given he would be 37 4 years from now.

Quit hating. It's a funny ad. I'd say it's easily the best moment of this season.

Delhomme/Smith "Dukes of Hazzard" for Bonjangles is still the gold standard.

Newton and his teams will be winning many championships against that AFC. Been waiting for the reports from that Pro Bowl game and it took this long. Shame and then undisclosed player. Being late rosters add with replacing Eli, Newton may have had a little to do with some of the reaction with playing with his jersey out during the time he was on the field. He is a kid really growing into a young man. The OLine didn’t help with blocking so the rushes made it seem more intense. But guys had their own perception without even getting to know someone. Go figure. Newton still made plays for his teammates. Over 15 teams would take Newton right now. Like Steve Smith stated, 1-3 years from now he will be the top 3 or 4 players in the NFL. Watch all this talk about Tannehill, Griffin, Luck, and Wilson. The book will be out this off season and they do have to play a second season as well with how coaches and defenses adjust. NO QB has ever done what Newton has done his first year and a half of his career. And it hasn’t even clicked yet for him. He is playing with ability along. Playing from the shoulders up, wait till that happens, look out. It has already begun. No one talks about Dalton's start of the season. Just of late he has awakened just like Newton. However, Dalton has a much better team defensively and special teams and coaching experience. That weighs heavily. Can’t have it both ways. Today’s players tend to be much different with relations with other players than players lest say 15 years ago. Guys have twitter, Facebook, AAU, Nike Camp, Gruden’s QB, Dilfer QB challenge and so on now. So they can build relations very easily and often. Same thing goes for NBA. People and players are adjusting. However when you get a player during this age in sports that isn’t too much like that and is all about winning then he is aloof and no good. Chris Paul don’t care Kobe don’t care. There are players that can relate well and there are some that don’t. They just want to win. MJ wasn’t a great teammate early own and into the middle of his career with relations. He learned how to and he won and now he is the G.O.A.T in the NBA arguably in all of sports. Newton will learn how and he will win and the league will be left stuff mad at themselves for helping him with reports like this with this whole Pro Bowl report. #CN1=ProBowlerHallofFamerSBWinner

GO PANTHERS!!!

Michael Jordan got treated like garbage at his first All Star game! They didn't hate him! They feared what he will become!

Michael played basketball dummy. Quit comparing him to Cam. Football is a teamsport, not a me sport.

Why would any defense fear a QB that isn't clutch, and can't execute a game winning drive in the final minutes of a game?

Posted by: PanthersFan | Dec 6, 2012 7:27:50 PM

Get that money while you can Cam. It won't be too long before you are a backup for somebody. You'll never be successful as a NFL quarterback, until you start acting like a leader consistently. (That means all the time). Less showboating, more leadership. Less Cam, more team. Less ego, more humility.

Steve Smith.....Hall of Fame! You've got to be kidding!!! A sure bet to get into the "Hall of Thugs"

Bunch of jealous babies commenting.

wow, lot of idiots up here early and often. At least a Panther is in commercial that is seen nationally. And trust we only got MNF and Thurs football because of "Me First" Cam Newton, not for the team effort here. He is the best player and most promotable talent we have had in a long time. No matter what you think, he is great player and asset for this franchise, on and off the field. I am in Cali now and i've seen Newton jerseys and NFL promotional material that features him. That is a good thing people. You slack-jawed yokels that think that we shouldn't have a popular player or any national presence as a team and are are looking for reasons to hate should just roll back over and snuggle with your equally-toothless cousin the rest of the season. The wins will come, and at the very least, it's a frickin' commercial, people.

THE best quarterback the Carolina Panthers have ever had! Ever! Stop the whining and crying and hating! Luck didn't want to come here. This guy did. End of story.

Sick of you whiners! Stop it
