Panthers tack on field goal, lead Oakland 17-6 late
Score: Panthers 17, Raiders 6
Scoring play: A 51-yard field goal by Graham Gano.
Drive: 7 plays, 43 yards, 2:33
Key play: A 20-yard pass from Cam Newton to Greg Olsen. On third down, Newton found Olsen on the near sideline to get near midfield and extend the drive.
Time of game: 2:46 in the fourth quarter.
Worth mentioning: Should the game finish this way, it would be the first time all season the Panthers' defense has held an opponent without a touchdown.
Score: Panthers 14, Raiders 6
Scoring play: A 31-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski
Drive: 7 plays, 5 yards, 1:42
Key play: A Cam Newton interception gave Oakland the great field position. Newton threw into triple coverage looking for Steve Smith, the ball was deflected and Miles Burris came up with the pick. It was the first Newton interception in the past 177 passes, ending the longest active streak in the league.
Time of game: 13:18 in the fourth quarter.
Worth mentioning: The referees have thrown six flags for personal fouls. Some have been questionable (on both sides of the ball), but Charles Godfrey was flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver that was an easy call for the refs.
