Three Panthers starters inactive against Oakland

For a second consecutive game, the Panthers will be without RB Jonathan Stewart, LB James Anderson and C Geoff Hangartner.

Those three starters are all inactive for Sunday's game against Oakland. This will be the fourth straight game Stewart has been out after suffering a high ankle sprain against Philadelphia in Week 12.

Head coach Ron Rivera said Friday that Stewart looked good in his first practice since hte injury, but the team would have to evaluate his health over the weekend. DeAngelo Williams will get the nod at running back.

Anderson (back) will miss his third straight game. He was added to the injury report Saturday as probable. Hangartner (foot) will be replaced by Jeff Byers for the second consecutive week.

Also inactive for the Panthers on Sunday are QB Jimmy Clausen, WR David Gettis, G Hayworth Hicks and DT Sione Fua

I think the Panthers are the only team in NFL history to have players listed as Probable turn out to be inactive.
