Toub interviews with Panthers
Dave Gettleman was not the only person interviewing with the Panthers on Wednesday.
While Gettleman was in Charlotte to talk to the Panthers about the general manager position he landed, head coach Ron Rivera met with Chicago Bears special teams coach Dave Toub, according to a league source.
Toub was on recently fired Lovie Smith's staff in Chicago, and has interviewed for the Bears' head-coaching vacancy. He also interviewed with Miami last year before the Dolphins hired Joe Philbin.
Rivera fired special teams coordinator Brian Murphy during the season, and promoted assistant special teams coach Richard Rodgers, Rivera's teammate at Cal.
Rivera also has a history with Toub. The two worked together for a season in Philadelphia, before joining Smith's staff in Chicago in 2004.
The Bears' special teams have ranked among the league's best under Toub, who twice has been named the league's special teams coach of the year.

All Dave Toub needs to do is call up Hester and tell him the plan and its a wrap...think what Hester could do as wide receiver and punt return in CHARLOTTE
