Panthers schedule to be released 8 p.m. on Thursday

The NFL will release all regular season schedules for the 2013 season on Thursday, April 18 and 8 p.m., according to a league spokesman.

The Panthers already know what teams they'll face next season and where, but dates and times have yet to be released.

Carolina will both play host and travel to divisional opponents Atlanta, New Orleans and Tampa Bay just like every year. The Panthers will also host St. Louis, Seattle, New York Giants, New England and New York Jets.

The team will travel to defending NFC champion San Francisco, Arizona, Minnesota, Buffalo and Miami.

The 2013 preseason schedule has already been announced, including a match in Baltimore against the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens.

Versus those teams, I'll predict 7-9 yet again.

will be neat seeing a smart and skilled young QB play when Seattle is here.

Jets and Patriots... We're so lucky to have two dysfunctional and obnoxious fan bases grace us with their presence in one season.

"Will be neat seeing a smart and skilled young QB play when Seattle is here."

Russell Wilson sucked when he was here last year. Don't see any reason why he won't suck again.

Panther Dave..Charlotte is my hometown and I love my team but apparently you don't remember that Seattle finished much higher than our team.

Also, that NC State were fools to let him leave. Russell Wilson is the real deal!

The NFL Draft should be able to shore up the team's needs at DT, CB and WR. Now, no one can predict injuries, but if the ball bounces the Panthers way, this team could emerge with a 9-7 record. The surprises of the year would be with the Offensive Line and with LB Jon Beason.
There are wins to be had within the Division, as well as with the weak AFC East.

the schedule is hard every year! please shut up about how hard this year is! cry babies!

the schedule is always tough when you have 4 winning seasons in team history and a meat-head for a coach. its all uphill. look for coach R to hide behind the sunglasses all season long and for beason to be out before week 3.....

Posted by: big gulps | Apr 16, 2013 3:59:29 PM

nobody has any idea who will be tough to beat in april. you can expect based on franchise trends, but injuries between now and then, roster moves, player development, players aging out of their primes......you have no idea.

and the "4 winning seasons in franchise history" is tired. how about this one.......4 times in 18 seasons did they go WORSE than 7-9. 14 seasons of 7-9 or better. that means they were competitive in most every season. they lost all but 2 games last year by 1 possession. it's a game of inches. it's the league with the most parity due to its salary cap structure.

the lack of satisfaction with this franchise is just further proof of how horrible the sports fans are here. it's the same city where adults cry over the name and mascot and jersey colors of it's nba franchise.

grow the eff up.

It does not matter who teams play. To be a superbowl champ you have to win. Period.

Need to get revenge on the Giants for that embarrassment last season...

we should try to stink this year, probably won't be too hard. fire Rivera, pick Clowney in draft, and hire a good coach.

Posted by: big gulps | Apr 17, 2013 3:33:51 PM

Why would be draft Clowney when we have one of the best DE tandems in the league?

We seriously play the Giants every year. At least we finally get a break from playing the Bears though.

As an outsider looking in I am always dismayed to see the local comments on here. Apparently the English aren't the only cynical and self-loathing people.
