Video: Jonathan Stewart talks about his return

Panther running back Jonathan Stewart, who has missed the first five games with a right ankle injury, is eligible to return for Sunday's home game against St. Louis but it's not certain he will be active. Stewart said Monday he wants to play in a locker-room interview.

if he's able to play but not ready, I'd rather wait another week.

save him for a few more games, hope he plays well when he returns so you gain value to dump him on some other team for some picks.

^^^ I would rather we just keep him if he comes back strong. You just don't find players of his caliber at the end of the draft often. for every terrell davis or alfred morris there's 1000 dee browns and kenjon barners.

there are just as many undrafted success stories as there are late round success stories so why give up on a guy that's 1st round talent for something you can get by just signing a guy who doesn't get drafted? its not like cutting him is going to save much, the guy is getting mostly guaranteed money at this point. cutting him doesn't save that. better off putting the guy on injured reserve every year than letting him suit up for atlanta or new orleans instead.
