Cam Newton becomes comic book hero

Cam Newton has long adopted the alter-ego of Superman. Now, he’s a real comic book hero.

Newton, in partnership with Gatorade (one of his sponsors), is featured in an online comic that conveys his “pursuit of greatness,” according to a press release.

Newton’s nickname in the comic is The Blender, which is derived from the Panthers quarterback growing up trying to take attributes from his favorite quarterbacks and apply them to his game.

The comic is in partnership with DC Comics, which originally produced the Superman character, and Newton is featured in the Gatorade comic along with Houston defensive end JJ Watt.

You can read the comic by clicking this link.

Sour grapes....all about one call...and yet nothing about Smith getting mugged all night...guy even had Smith by the facemask jerking him around and refs did nothing.

I went back and watched the game again. Number 70 for the Patriots is about as dirty a player that I have ever seen. He head butted Kuechly on one play and blocked in the back several times without being called but once. Another note, if the role was reveresed and Cam was cursing the ref at the end, EVERYONE would be blowing up the sports channels talking about how immature he is and to "get over it". But since it was Brady, not one word!

Yea they act like the superhuman gronk can run through a human body(Lester) to make a catch.
I think that dirty play is a product of coaching. Look at Talib it looked as if he was trying to get himself and Smitty ejected. They had played what 6 weeks without Talib(I think). Not hurt them as much as taking Smith out of our offense.
There are two coaches in this League that are plain and simple shady. One just came off a suspension and one got busted for spying.

Armanti Edwards placed on IR with an "ankle" injury. Right. Nice of Chud to create that for him in order to save face.

Looks like one of the most worthless over-hyped, over-drafted players in NFL history just had his career finally come to a close. The only surprise is he hung on this long!

6 catches in his 4-year career. Pathetic!

It was a very exciting game. Good win PANTHERS. What I don't understand is, why would they keep Talib in the game after he tried to take Smith's leg off. I think he should have been thrown from the game at that point. I thought he was trying to get Smith thrown out of the game, if there has ever been a NASTY players there's one there. If the shoe had been on the other foot as old folk say, Smith would have been ejected. We will just go with the flow and keep winning. I see us headed to the Big Bowl. I'm beginning to think people don't think Rogers, Brady, Manning and a few others are suppose to lose. WAY TO GO PANTHERS, keep it up.

Great CAM gets his own comic but the panthers get no respect, He has a Nike jersey on and the old logo. Gatorade and DC comics need to wake up, Also people in Charlotte need to at least know what is going on with the Panthers, on Kat Fight on 96.9 the Kat last week they had the question what state did the panther play in last weekend and neither person could come up with CA, and today the question was who did they play on Monday Night and Nobody got it! Come on people care about your local team I hate this town is filled with Yankees!
