Panthers will wear black-on-black uniform for home playoff game

The greatest uniforms in the history of the NFL are back.

The Panthers will wear black jerseys with black pants for their Jan. 12 home playoff game against a team to be determined.

The team announced the uniform on its official Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers have wore that combination once this year, a win against the Jets in December.

Yes!!!
A black helmet with gray/silver panther outline or reverse would be wild......
Anyone who thinks this is crazy has no style and knows nothing:-)

No special helmets. That was a rule change this season. Something to do with concussion risk. The helmet a player starts the season with is the one they use all season (unless damaged).

I don't know why they don't wear that uniform more often. It is MUCH better looking than all that white ;)

Just Win!

Who cares. Just wear the white on white unis. They are clean, classy, and look the best. And they've worn them with every successful playoff run they've had ('96, '03, and '05).

I can't stand the white-on-white look. I'm not the only one either:

Why not have the silver pants to match the helmets for all versions?

Let's spread the word.. All fans in black too... Let's really black it out!!!

I am so tired of hearing black helmets. That would be too much like the falcons. They don't look good. Perhaps a carolina blue would work with it. I don't want them to look like everyone else.

A matte black would be best

Black matte helmets like Baylor would be cool.

Black helmet. Panther Blue numbers and names on unis. Best idea I've heard...

Why not an all silver uniform it might look sick, sort of like the seahawks all gray but silver instead

I say all solid electric blue uni's, solid white helmets, and change the mascot from sir purr to Poppa Smurf.

Who cares what they wear as long as they win?! Sheesh.
