Combine profile: Alabama OLB Adrian Hubbard

Name: Adrian Hubbard

Position: Outside linebacker

Height/weight: 6-6/257

School/Class: Alabama/Redshirt junior

Projected round: 4th or 5th

Career highlights: A starter for the past two seasons, Hubbard played outside linebacker for one of the best defenses in college football. Very good in stopping the run game.

Did you know?: Hubbard was one of only four players who enrolled early in the draft with a degree.

Quotes: “I’m a tough, hard-working competitor and I’m an intelligent guy. Very articulate to my teammates. Good understanding of the defense. Always around the ball making plays.

“I’ve played 3-4 outside linebacker and 4-3 end. Doesn’t matter.

“We had a dominating line. It was good to go against those guys ever day in practice because you’re getting a better look from them and you’ll be able to peak in the game.”

Panthers’ level of interest: Hubbard almost looks like another Greg Hardy, but his game lacks the type of explosiveness off the line that Hardy has. Hubbard fits more as an outside linebacker as opposed to an edge rushing defensive end, so Carolina may not be the landing spot for the two-time champ.
