Combine profile: Southern Cal C Marcus Martin

Name: Marcus Martin

Position: Center

Height/weight: 6-3/320

School/class: Southern Cal/Junior

Projected round: 3rd

Career highlights: The Los Angeles native started at left guard his first two years with the Trojans before moving to center. It was a smooth transition for Martin, who was a first-team, Pac-12 selection in his only year at the position. Was a highly decorated player coming out of Crenshaw High.

Did you know?: Martin dislocated his kneecap and sustained a high ankle sprain Nov. 30 against UCLA, but did not require surgery for either injury.

Quotes: "I’m coming off an injury, so I’m feeling the best I can and trying to be ready for my pro day. I’ll be ready for my pro day March 12 at USC, but I won’t be competing this weekend at the combine. I’ll be doing the bench press."

"I was really focused and concentrated on developing my game, learning how to snap, trying to understand our offensive scheme as best as possible. And it was something that played a pivotal role with me being successful this year at center."

Panthers’ level of interest: The Panthers already have a Southern Cal center, and won't be taking another one.
