Under Armour debuts offseason Cam Newton video series
Cam Newton has always had a busy offseason since becoming an NFL star, but this one was even more packed.
After his first postseason appearance, Newton dealt with offseason ankle surgery, going back to school, coaching a 7-on-7 team and having a film crew follow him around for several months.
Under Armour, the national apparel company Newton endorses, released a video series Monday that tracks Newton's offseason. The six-plus-minute video titled "What Will You Do with Your Opportunity" shows the rehab process for Newton at Auburn and in Baltimore near UA's headquarters. It also shows the Panthers quarterback hand-picking his 7-on-7 team for a national competition.
The "Huddle Up" series is one of many brand-building initiatives from Newton. He's also part of Gatorade's League of Captains, a theme of five NFL players on bottles distributed across the country. Newton is nicknamed "The Blender."
In the second episode of "Huddle Up," Newton visits Westlake High School in Atlanta. There are five episodes in the series.
