Another injury to a Panthers' right tackle
The Panthers might need a Plan C at right tackle.
Amini Silatolu, the three-year starter at guard who moved to tackle this week, sat out Thursday's practice with a knee injury. Silatolu missed most of last season following ACL surgery on his right knee, and was inactive for the Panthers' 19-17 loss to Atlanta on Nov. 16 after developing swelling and soreness in the knee.
Silatolu said earlier this week he expected to start Sunday at Minnesota in place of right tackle Nate Chandler, who was placed on injured reserve last week with a knee injury.
If Silatolu can't play against the Vikings, the Panthers will turn to one of two journeyman linemen -- Chris Scott or Mike Remmers.
Scott started eight games at guard in 2013 and rotated at guard against the Falcons in his most extensive action this season. Remmers has yet to play since the Panthers signed him off St. Louis' practice squad in October.
--Defensive end Charles Johnson did not practice Thursday due to illness. Rookie receiver/returner Philly Brown, who was sick Wednesday, returned to practice.
Defensive tackle Star Lotuelei remained sidelined with an ankle injury and is not expected to play against the Vikings.

It's been a long season so far for the Panthers, and this injury is more of the same - bad news.

Ron Rivera is way too loyal to Cam, like John Fox was to Jake Delhomme at the end of his career! Cam has always been overrated!!!!

I guess now they are "going to play for pride the rest of the season". How many times have we heard that whole bit before?

Teddy Bridgewater made Cam look like a chump today. Hilarious

I don't know why I keep watching this team. They play with no heart. Rivera needs to go. This team is a joke a year after a 12-4 season.

And to top it off he wants to play to win and not throw the season away,NEWS FLASH! season is already lost if you really want to play to win then lose the remaining games so we will get great draft position next year and try to rebuild, This organization is a joke in the NFL and I don`t understand why the owner is not furious, I want you to be honest with yourself when Cam gets time to throw does he throw on target or are they still off target,See if he gets time to throw and is off target then its not the O-lines fault on that play its Cams fault. PLEASE STOP WITH THE WERE STILL IN IT CRAP.I still see a receiver open on replay 5 to 8 yards out but Cam does not even look his way and throws a long pass instead thats incomplete??????GO FIGURE ,

It is a shame that the NFC South will be won by somone without a winning record. With that said, why is it the Panthers are never motivated to start a game the first minute?? Two weeks off and they pay like it was the first game of the year. Get a REAL COACH that kicks butt and makes players PLAY!! If Cam or anyone else can't handle it, get a REAL quarterback and ready to play players!! A real team is more than the money they make, it is about solidarity and the eagarness to WIN!!!

look lose the next 4 and were probably going to pick around 3 in the draft next year,That will get us Gross`s replacement and more .So don`t get to upset if we lose the remaining because its only going to help us next year, This year was toast a few games back and is not worth jepordizing the players we need next year
