Philly Brown inactive against Philly

PHILADEPHIA

Panthers rookie returner Philly Brown was cleared to play in Monday's night game against the Eagles, but the Philadelphia native won't be suiting up against his hometown team.

Brown and rookie offensive tackle David Foucault were somewhat surprising inclusions among the Panthers' inactives against the Eagles, although Panthers coach Ron Rivera said last week the time Brown missed while recovering from a concussion could affect his status.

Brenton Bersin will handle return duties again while Brown inactive.

The other inactives are a pair of injured rookies -- CB Bene' Benwikere and OL Trai Turner -- as well OL Mike Remmers, RB Chris Ogbonnaya and S Robert Lester.

Rivera indicated last week Foucault would be the third tackle. But the undrafted free agent from Canada struggled in the Oct. 30 loss to New Orleans, allowing three of the four sacks.

Chris Scott is expected to be the third tackle behind starters Byron Bell and Nate Chandler.

Benwikere must have serious ankle problem

Man they should just forfeit and save us all from this atrocious embarrassment on prime time tv.

Seriously^ Also, I'm concerned with the fact that Rivera had one good season out of 4 and he now has an extension...this is bad coaching all around. The commentators are trash talking the panthers on mechanics, fundamentals. Pathetic.

Fire gettleman

We may not win another game this season! Someone from management owes us an explanation for this product that is on the field. This is unacceptable. Inexcusable. Embarrassing.

WOW

Congratulations Gettleman! You have officialy destroyed a playoff team. Way to go!

Boys, the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of Boone's Farm Jerry, not Gettleman.

I guarantee you Gettleman did not want to extend Rivera yesterday...Booney forced him to so he could sew up a cheap coach. Only a moron wouldn't force PaddleBoat to show he could do it back-to-back and while you might not like Gettleman he ain't no moron. Booney, he's a moron.

PaddleBoat will never be able to compete with Chip Kelly....ever.

Gettleman can only spend what Booney allows him to...there-in lay the problem.

Until ownership changes prepare yourself for perpetual disappointment... (and you're a moron if you haven't already prepared accordingly)

"last year" (not yesterday)

Posted by: NASTAR99 | Nov 10, 2014 11:53:26 PM

why wouldn't they suit up Philly Brown? we really need speed, he's our only fast WR.

The whole team needs some crack sprinkled on them.

The Cam Newton experiment has officialy failed!

I'm so glad Cam worked on his craft, passing, mechanics, fundamentals, every offseason. Oh wait, he was working on his sociology degree and sponsors every offseason and the Panthers were nice enough to pay for it. He is the same quarterback I've seen every game since hes became a Panther!!! Defense saved his azz last year! Yes, the O-line has been below average, etc.., but I am tired of the same old lame excuses defending Cam from people that only catch a few of his games. Cam has balled out at times, but most of the time he is incredibly innacurate, or is too slow to see the field and rifles the ball in at the last minute.

Those video games Cam played last week didn't serve him too well.

We need a quarterback, not a RB, WR, TE attempting to play quarterback!

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:11:01 AM

Shula is the absolute worst play caller too. He has to go like yesterday!

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:11:56 AM

Cam has absolutely no touch on a football

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:12:49 AM

Don't get me started on Cam's padded stats (garbage time stats) that don't paint a clear picture! U like stats? Check out Cam's completions vs attempts throughout his career.

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:16:08 AM

Cam holds on to the ball too long (slow to see the field), can't slide, repeatedly scrambles for a sack / loss on third down, innacurate, no touch, incosistent decision, no real progression, self centered, etc...

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:25:12 AM

Draft busts are adding up Gettleman. I thought you were all knowing

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:27:12 AM

Cam will help win a few games here and there, then everybody will be back on his jock, but mostly he will continue to lose games for us, especially the most important games.

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:32:03 AM

As long as Cam gets the cars and money hes good though. Thats what matters, right Cam? Lol

Posted by: Gettleman = Garbage | Nov 11, 2014 10:33:50 AM

Start Derek Anderson already! He can get rid of the ball quickly.
