When I heard that Tubby Smith was going to Minnesota, my first thought was Timberwolves.
If Smith thought there was pressure at Kentucky, wait until he discovers Minneapolis, Minnetonka and Morris, St. Paul, Sauk Center and Shakopee.
No matter what the man does, he will forever be measured against Gopher coaching legends such as Clem Haskins, who named a daughter Clemette, plus whoever the last two guys were.
Expectations will be unreal. Every season fans will demand that the Golden Gophers win 40% of their Big Ten games, and every third season fans will demand that Tubby take his team to the NIT.
I spent four years at the school, and grew up supporting its teams. I’m not aware of anybody who won consistently without cheating.
Commentators and columnists nationally are ripping Kentucky fans for their tepid support of Tubby. I won’t. We’re talking about Kentucky. The Wildcats are supposed to be elite, and Tubby was merely good.
If you think fans at North Carolina basketball are any more forgiving, call Matt Doherty.

Tom--
What do you think about Tubby taking on Garrison Keillor as an assistant coach? The Golden Gophers could use a Guy Noire to tell them the secret to beating Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Monique- he loves it! I bring him into the bathroom when the water is runinng and let him get used to the noise. Sometimes I squirt some of his shampoo in and it makes bubbles :) Usually I'll sit on the side of the tub and hold him on my lap while the water is runinng. I put the duck in and he's watching, curious and eventually wants to get it. I let him play and walk around in the water for a while before I scrub him down. He plays with the duck and a plastic cup and sniffs around for a while. I find it easiest to kneel down by the tub and turn him to be facing me. I hold one of his front legs (the left one since I'm right handed) to keep him from trying to jump out when I soak him. I hold his leg and pour water with my right hand from a cup onto his back and head to get him wet.At this point, he just tenses up and doesn't move. He braves through it :) I soak him down with water from a cup and then pour shampoo on him, scrub him all over and rinse also from the cup. The whole time I don't let go of his front leg. Usually he'll stand there while I'm rinsing and I can get all the soap out of his hair. I pull him out of the tub with one hand and put a towel on top of him with my other hand and wrap him with it before he can shake and soak me and the entire bathroom. I try to scrub him down with the towel before he can get away and by that time, he's not dripping all over. So, yeah that's tubby :) I do it the same way every single time, and he's always eager to jump in. He does like the toy though It makes it fun for a while. Best of luck with your little one! :)
