Every few minutes somebody huge or well-dressed will walk into the Media Center. The huge guy is either a football player or a cameraman and the well-dressed guy is either a football player or a TV personality.
The way you determine whether the guy is a football player is by the size of his entourage. A few TV personalities, such as Shannon Sharpe, will attract a few hangers-on because he was once among the best tight ends in the NFL.
But it's the active players who sport the largest escorts. They walk in with a PR guy and a PR woman in front of them, reporters on the sides of them and a few folks whose job titles are less clearly defined behind.
Warrick Dunn of the Atlanta Falcons had a huge entourage, an entourage that seemed even bigger than it was because Dunn is not a big guy.
The players usually are led to a stage or to radio row. Although I have yet to encounter any of the really big hitters, I have run into Mike Ditka twice. Both times he was alone. I respect that.
