PHOENIX -- Downtown Phoenix offers a few restaurants and bars, an arena and a ballpark. It will add light rail and, it hopes, residents. Only recently have people begun to move downtown. Charlotte’s suburban growth is frustrating (and I live in the suburbs). I salute the towns that, to avoid being choked, have had the courage to rise up and oppose it. But growth downtown has enhanced our city tremendously. You can live, work and enjoy life without getting in a car. Phoenix would love to have what we do.
You know what nobody at the Super Bowl talks about? Nobody talks about cheating. Nobody asks New England about its spy cam adventure and nobody jokes about it because the jokes are so old they’re covered with dust. Forgive and forget, that’s today’s press corp. Makes me proud to do what I do, although I’d be even more proud if I could come up with a decent joke about cheating.
