The Jimmy Clausen era began with 10:03 remaining in the third quarter. Matt Moore stood on the Tampa Bay 37 without a helmet, with a towel around his neck. Clausen replaced him at quarterback 43 yards away on the Carolina 20. Via handoffs and a screen, Clausen picked up two first downs.
After an incompletion to Steve Smith, I think I heard a fan chant for third-team quarterback Tony Pike. But his era hasn't started yet. One at a time.

CHARLOTTE — ’10 Carolina Panthers, 2, died Sunday, September 19, 2010, at their home of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte after a two-year battle with mismanagement and poor on-field play.
The ’10 Panthers were preceded in death by Coach John Fox of Virginia Beach, VA; Marty Hurney of Dumbass, Texas; Matt Moore of Van Nuys, CA; and (with the exception of Steve Smith) the Carolina receiving core of Nowhereville, Hell.
The ’10 Panthers are survived by their father Jerry Richardson of Spring Hope, N.C.; their future quarterback Jimmy Clausen of Thousand Oaks, CA; and 500,000 frustrated fans. The fans wish to thank Alcohol, Chicken Wings and Doritos for making the tough times a little easier to endure
