In 2001, in George Seifert's final season, the Panthers lost their final game to the Patriots, at home, 38-6. The game was not as close as the score.
The stadium is about a third full today. Never has driving to the stadium been easier. It was more like a Saturday than a Sunday. Few tailgaters. Lots of empty tents.
And, because Panther fans want the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, lots of support for the visitors.
