Too Tall is too cool

   Met Too Tall Jones today at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Cool guy, articulate and gracious and you can tell right away how he got his nickname. His Super Bowl ring was the size of a toddler and his Dallas Cowboys watch shows that, despite a persistent absence from the playoffs, the team can do something right.

    Too Tall left football to box professionally. He never lost, but returned to the Cowboys anyway. I asked him why.

    He said he has never told anybody the reason, and added that it was out of his hands.

    Too Tall was the race track to commemorate the world's largest scoreboard; the final girder was added today. Big scoreboard, big guy, good news conference. 

    I asked him which NFL players he thought would make good boxers, and he immediately said linebackers.

    Which linebackers? Is there one who stands out?

    There is, said Too Tall -- Baltimore's Ray Lewis.
