Still convinced that the NFL, and Kansas City, did the right thing by agreeing to play Carolina at Arrowhead Stadium today.
What does anybody gain by not playing? The game is going to be played at some juncture, and pushing it back to Monday or Tuesday would makes it no less awkward.
I don't pretend the game will be a healing experience. It's football. Maybe people, and players and coaches and general managers, lose themselves in it for three hours. Maybe they don't.
Either way, there's no alternative. Play.
I think the media is just now getting around to realizing how awkward YOU the media have made this situation....especially ESPN. This guy is not a guy that needs to be understood or felt bad about. He's a criminal and a coward for taking the easy way out. He murdered his girlfriend, orphaned his child and saved the taxpayers a lot of money by taking his own life instead of coming to the same conclusion via the court system, or worse, putting him in prison for life and making us (the taxpayer) pay for it. He's another Rae Carruth and should be shunned for his actions...not remembered. Call me insensitive, but I feel very sorry for the family of the murder victim, his family and the coaching staff that had to see the incident...but NOT him. He should NOT be remembered by the Chiefs organization for anything else but a murderer and a worthless, bum father.
