Thank you for all your entries. Don't know if it was last week's break, the subject matter of this week's challenge, the economic downturn, or what, but we had the lowest number of entries we've ever had for this challenge. Luckily, the quality was as good as ever!
Here's a selection of some of the other better lines we received this week:
"My candidacy's passed on! It's no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired
and gone to meet its maker." (Apologies to Monty Python fans everywhere!)
"And I can see the State Capitol from my house."
"If I keep repeating what you say, can I command the ship?"
"I alone shoulder the responsibility for my views."
"Baaarrraaakkk!! Steal and plunder! Steal and plunder! Baaarrraaakkk!!"
"Yea, Yea, what he said!"
"We have a special platform plank for you, Pat!"
"As your Governor, I’ll run our state the Easley way."
"At least we have the East Carolina Vote locked up."
"Don't worry. I just said I would open an office in Charlotte, I never said I would use it."
As usual, feel free to discuss any of this in our "Comments" section. Just click the blue link below this post and add your observations, criticisms or additional captions!
And please join us again Monday, Oct. 13, for a new cartoon caption challenge.

Treasure Island to Outta Banks? Extremely clever! (though not directly Perdue linked)
Well done Irving!

Thank's Mr Cox, I suppose as potential Governor of the entire state (including Charlotte)she was just commenting on the carnage.
